Food for Thought VI: Musings on Music

In this final Food for Thought module of the 2022-23 academic year, we will reconsider the significance of music. In what ways might it be necessary for culture? Does it have an intrinsic relationship to religion? How have various religions shaped it similarly and expressed it differently? What does music tell us about what it means to be human? Is music—or should music be—a central part of education? What does the music we make and enjoy tell us about our communities and ourselves?

Join us as we consider these questions (and more) together in this last Food for Thought module.

Dates: Wednesdays, April 5, 12, and 19

Time: Dinner is available at 5:45pm, with discussion running from 6:00 PM–7:00 PM.
