Veritas Forum at Penn: The Pursuit of Happiness

How do we define happiness? Is happiness the highest good humans should pursue? And what role does religious faith play in human happiness? The Veritas Forum at Penn is hosting a Forum over dinner titled The Pursuit of Happiness: A Priest, an Imam, and a Positive Psychologist Talk Faith and Human Happiness. The Forum will feature a dialogue between Fr. Hyacinth Cordell, O.P., Pastor at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Philadelphia, and Sheikh Arqum Rashid, Resident Scholar and Imam at the Islamic Society of Central Delaware, moderated by Dr. James Pawelski, Professor of Practice and Director of Education Master of Applied Positive Psychology Program at Penn. They will discuss the concept of happiness from different worldviews and how students should pursue it.

Join the Veritas Forum at Penn and the Collegium Institute on Wednesday, April 12, at 7:00pm in the Amado Recital Hall (Irvine 110). Free halal dinner will be provided.
