The Winged Ox Forum is a biweekly dinner series bringing together medical students, residents, and advanced undergraduates for conversations about the theology and philosophy that suffuse and motivate medical practice.
Our first session of this season will discuss medicine's role in the community and our obligations to medicine. We will try to think about what it means to be a medical professional, in particular looking deeper at the difference between obligations and supererogatory acts (above and beyond obligations) and if the medical profession demands a higher level of obligation and sacrifice.
We will meet on the following Friday evenings at 6:00pm:
September 4
September 18
October 9
October 23
November 6
November 20
December 4
