The Collegium Institute presents the Spring 2022 Winged Ox Forum, a community of fellows devoted to exploring the relationship between the medical vocation and the Christian theological tradition! The Forum welcomes a small cohort of graduate students, resident physicians, and advanced undergraduates each semester to participate in six evening discussions over meals. The group fosters a community for friendly and professional encouragement, mentorship, sharing of research, and theological formation. Discussions will be led by grad fellows and are welcome to their guests, while the Forum will also invite academic and clinical guests such as physicians, psychologists, theologians, philosophers, and ministers.
Some guiding questions include: What is health? How has the Christian tradition shaped modern medicine? How might we imagine our practices of medicine as a participation in the life of Jesus? Fellows are encouraged to share research and discuss their own theology of clinical practice.
Schedule: The fellowship will meet on Fridays from 6:30pm-7:30pm.
