Collegium Institute is proud to cosponsor this event presented by the St. Basil Center for Orthodox Thought and Culture at Eastern University. This event is free and open to the public to attend in person, and will also be live-streamed.
Fr. Victor Gorodenchuk was born and first educated in the old Soviet Union, where he was trained as a physicist prior to his conversion to Christianity and his pursuit of the priesthood. Fr. Victor is the Dean of St. Stephen's Orthodox Cathedral in Philadelphia, a graduate of St. Tikhon's Seminary, and recently successfully defended his dissertation at Catholic University of America. His evening talk will focus on questions about the extent to which the rigors and findings of science touch questions of faith, and in particular at the intersection of physics and the Christian doctrine of creation ex nihilo.
