The Annual Anscombe Lecture in Ethics commemorates Elizabeth Anscombe (1919-2001), former Penn Professor of Philosophy and one of the most influential woman philosophers and Catholic intellectuals of the modern era.

Collegium Institute welcomed Dr. John Haldane, Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Center for Ethics, Philosophy and Public Affairs at the University of St. Andrews and Chairman of the Royal Institute of Philosophy, for the inaugural lecture in this series on March 19, 2014.

This event was cosponsored by the Department of Philosophy and the Positive Psychology Center at the University of Pennsylvania.
