ISME 2025: Travel and Lodging
We look forward to welcoming you to the 2025 Conference of the International Society for Macintyrean Enquiry! We are excited to host the 18th edition of the conference at the University of Pennsylvania, located in Philadelphia’s University City neighborhood, from July 10-12, 2025.
The conference will begin at 8am on Thursday, July 10. It will conclude at 12pm on Saturday, July 12.
Conference proceedings, as well as the Conference Banquet, will be held in the ARCH building on Penn’s campus (3601 Locust Walk).

Travel

We recommend that those arriving by airplane travel through the Philadelphia International Airport. PHL services a number of domestic and international airlines. PHL is also located convenient to Penn and the rest of the city of Philadelphia.
To Penn, via car: Take I-76W, exiting at exit 346A.
To Penn, via public transit: Take the SEPTA Airport Line towards Center City, disembarking at the Penn Medicine station.

We recommend those traveling via Amtrak disembark at 30th Street Station in University City Philadelphia, which is brief walk from Penn’s campus.

Penn’s campus is located in West Philadelphia, conveniently off I-76W.
Parking: The majority of parking in University City is metered street parking. There are several (paid) parking lots in the area, such as the Penn Museum Parking Garage (1 Convention Avenue) or the Walnut 38 (3731 Walnut St).

Penn’s campus is easily accessible via Philadelphia public transportation network, known as SEPTA:

UPDATE: We are pleased to announce that, in addition to the local hotels, we have a number of single rooms available on Penn's campus which can be reserved at the rate of $100 per night (3 night minimum). Please check the box on your registration form if you are interested in this option.
There are a number of hotels easily accessible to Penn’s campus via foot or via public transportation.
