ISME 2025: Travel and Lodging

We look forward to welcoming you to the 2025 Conference of the International Society for Macintyrean Enquiry! We are excited to host the 18th edition of the conference at the University of Pennsylvania, located in Philadelphia’s University City neighborhood, from July 10-12, 2025.

Below, you may find information useful for planning your travel and accommodations in Philadelphia. Questions? Please contact Conference Manager Quinn Moore (isme2025@macintyreanenquiry.org).

Travel

  • We recommend that those arriving by airplane travel through the Philadelphia International Airport. PHL services a number of domestic and international airlines. PHL is also located convenient to Penn and the rest of the city of Philadelphia.

To Penn, via car: Take I-76W, exiting at exit 346A.

To Penn, via public transit: Take the SEPTA Airport Line towards Center City, disembarking at the Penn Medicine station.

  • We recommend those traveling via Amtrak disembark at 30th Street Station in University City Philadelphia, which is brief walk from Penn’s campus.

  • Penn’s campus is located in West Philadelphia, conveniently off I-76W.

Parking: Parking in University City is typically metered parking. There are several (paid) parking lots in the area.

  • Penn’s campus is easily accessible via Philadelphia public transportation network, known as SEPTA:

    • Buses (21, 42, and LUCY)

    • Trolleys (Routes 10, 11, 13, 34, and 36)

    • Subway (Market-Frankford Line)

    • Regional Rail (30th St Station)
