Christian Thoughts-in-Progress

Graduate students are invited to join us for Christian Thoughts-in-Progress, a new series designed for graduate students seeking to integrate their Christian faith with their academic pursuits. The program offers a supportive community for scholars seeking growth in their vocation as integrated Christian thinkers who are making a legitimate contribution to the academy as well as to the church and the common good. Each session will feature a brief presentation from a graduate student member of our community. The presenter will highlight ways in which they see their work attempting to make a contribution to their discipline and the Christian community at large.

Our next session, on Friday, January 24, will feature Collegium's Operations Coordinator Quinn Moore. Quinn is a Ph.D. Candidate in History at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research focuses on the intellectual history of the interwar French Right. In her C-TIPS presentation, "Praying in the Age of Anxiety: Politics, Culture, and the Interwar Catholic Church,” Quinn will explore the evolution of the Catholic Church's cultural, intellectual and political influence on the French Right between the World Wars.

Dates: January 24, 2025. 12:00-1:00 pm. Other spring dates TBD.

Lunch will be provided for all participants.

Location: Fox-Fels Hall (3814 Walnut St
