Love & Justice: Spring 2023 Catholic Humanism Fellowship on Catholic Social Teaching

  • Penn Newman Center 111 South 38th Street Philadelphia, PA, 19104 United States (map)

The Collegium Institute invites you to apply for the Spring 2023 Catholic Humanism Fellowship. This four-semester program explores the Catholic intellectual tradition as a reality lived out in the pilgrimage of our life. In the previous three semesters, we explored how Catholicism can be understood through three ideas, dedicating one semester to each: the Good, the True, and the Beautiful.

Part IV: Love & Justice

This fourth semester will act as a capstone for the fellowship: we will explore Catholic Social Thought and its communitarian vision of the human person. Our exploration will center on how justice and love should shape our social, political, and economic lives. To understand this, we will examine some of the essential principles of Catholic Social Thought and how they shape our civic, political, familial, and ecclesial communities.

The meetings will take place at the Penn Newman Center on Fridays from 12:45pm–1:45pm.
